As summer approaches and many an artist out there is looking to put out a new sketchbook, we thought it might be interesting to point out from a retail perspective some of the do's and don'ts in sketchbook design. Everything from format to cover design.Over the next couple of weeks, we will examine these points, not pretending that we know it all, or that we know better, but simply as observations we have gleaned from spending a lot of time selling sketchbooks.
Just so we don't leave you with nothing in this post - consider the above two covers. How are they different. What do you like about each one. Which one do you think is a better cover and why?
