This coming Wednesday two very special books will be arriving. The first is Three Shadows by Cyril Pedrosa. This is a thick black and white graphic novel from First Second (:01) that is a true work of art. We had this book in the fall, in French and it flew out the door. This new edition is almost half the price and we can't wait! For those that know Cyril from other French BD, like : Ring Circus or Shaolin Mousaka - you won't be dissapointed. The drawings on the page look like they melted off his pencil. So loose, and yet so masterful. Check it out this Wednesday May 7.
Also on Wednesday is the much awaited Gris Grimly artbook: Where Madness Reigns. For anyone that loves Tim Burton or has a dark sense of humour - Gris is the guy. He's had several terrific kids book out - including his latest (in stock now) 'the Dangerous Alphabet' which is written by another Labyrinth favourite: Neil Gaiman. (For those wondering -what point is there in Neil Gaiman writing an alphabet book - you got to see it to believe it. It's not your little sisters alphabet book!) The new artbook was scheduled to come out in January - so it's a wee bit late, but now that its almost here - forgive and forget.
