This is a reminder.
The Labyrinth is still looking for artists to participate in our Vinyl Graffiti Show.
To recap:
1. we want 1 piece of illustration from each artist.
2. this is open to anyone - who would like to submit
3. artwork can be done using any medium you like so long as the base is a cardboard record album sleeve (the old black vinyl records). if you don't have one, you can get one at goodwill/salvation army -or ask your friends/neighbours.
4. the art can be any subject, and the only rule is to have some portion of the album cover exposed so we can tell it was a record cover.
5. We're calling this Vinyl Grafitti - but any kind of illustration is permited and encouraged. The term 'graffiti' is used here to represent the fact that you are working over an existing surface.
6. All you got to do to take part is email us, or call us to let us know you are taking part. info@thelabyrinthstore.com or 416 840-4506.
7. Deadline for submissions is November 18th. Please bring the piece in to the store, or email an image of it. Ultimately, we will need it dropped off so we can hang it in the show.
8. If you can, please take an image of the record cover before you do anything to it -so we can see before/after.
9. Tell your friends. This is a group show -we need 30 artists -so the more styles - the better.
10. Art that's picked will go up in the Gallery for a month and all contributors will be invited for a galla opening night.
11. Now go have fun and creat some Vinyl Graffiti !
