TAIS! Chicken Jam - Short Animations Wanted

Our friends at TAIS are looking for submissions for their Chicken Jam Animation Fest - details below and on their site.

Deadline: May 29, 2009

TAIS is at it again with its annual Animated Jam session, or Anijam!
This year’s theme is... Chickens! Yes, you heard right. Chickens of the World, chickens of the sea, chickens of the forest, chicken scratch. Poulet of all sorts.

Create a 10 second long animated film that somehow encompasses our chicken theme! Use any animation technique you want... just make it delicious! Submit it to TAIS and we’ll edit the submissions into a chicken AniJam film which will screen at the TAIS Showcase at the National Film Board this June!

Plus, we’ve got tons of giveaways!

Submit your films on CD/DVD-Rom or via email/file hosting link with the submission form, a brief bio and 2 stills (jpeg) from your film.
Format of all Chicken Jam submissions should be a 720 x 480 Quicktime.

Art of Kung Fu Panda - Limited Quantity + Okami Artbook

Arriving on Tuesday: a handful of copies of Art of Kung Fu Panda. Yes -this is the hard to get, sold out book with a zillion Nicholas Marlet Sketches in it. I made the mistake of selling the last copy we had without saving one for myself. This time around, one copy is going aside. If you want one of the remaining few copies, stop by the shop Tuesday evening or call the store to reserve. Possibly the best Art of Book in a long time.




Another sold out book : Capcom's Okami Art-Works will be showing back up in our shop on Thursday afternoon. Udon did a tremendous job on translating all the detailed notes next to the hundreds if not thousands of sketches in this book. Seriously, this book is part of the last batch of this title. Don't wait forever, as these might be the last copies we ever get.

I brought the camera with me with the intent of taking pictures of all the folks, but we were so busy, there was no time to take pictures.

We opened half hour early, and by opening the shop was quite full.

Folks got dozens and dozens of Free comics, and many got out with Free Graphic Novels Too.

Mighty Muggs - Art show Custom Template

As you may know, the Labyrinth is looking for artists to participate in our upcoming Custom Mighty Muggs art show. It's fun and it's for charity.

Above is a template that can be used when designing your Mighty Mugg Custom figure. Just print it out. If the copy you get from the screen here isn't good enough, email us at: info@thelabyrinthstore.com and we'll email you an attached JPEG file to print from.

The idea is to use this template to design your Custom Figure before laying down any marks on the actual toy. You can plan out front, side and back views.
