Art of Shane Glines Cartoon Retro is coming

Usually we don't like to post about books we are still waiting for, but we've gotten a bunch of emails -so here is the lowdown. Shane Gline's new Cartoon Retro Sketchbook is indeed coming. We are also expecting a couple of other incredible sketchbooks, and we promise the minute they all show up in the store - a new post will go up saying 'WE HAVE THEM', and will show some images at that time too. AGAIN - we will have these on our shelves, with luck later this month.

Groundworks of Gurren Lagann 2,3 in stock

We just got word from the publisher last night that the Art of Kung Fu Panda is out of print. Not sure if it will be back in print. We're down to our last couple of copies, so we tried to get some more, but there are no more to be had. Suggestion - if you're one of those folks who was sitting on the fence on this one, don't take too long.

This is one of the finest 'art of' books out there - and with all those Nick Marlet sketches, it's a real keeper!

Groundwork of Gurren Lagann 2 and 3 (not shown) in store now. we're working on getting vol 1 -but right now, as far as we know -the book is sold out from suppliers in Japan. If and when it becomes avaible again, we will try and get some. The good thing about the Groundworks series -is that you don't need them in order. Each book is a collection of top notch pencil animation art -from the production. Don't be too shocked if these books are hard to find before too long.

For those wondering about Drawers 2.0; we've just heard rumours from Angouleme that the publisher of that book, maybe having trouble, or even going out of business, as they were a no show at France's biggest comic book festival. Hope the rumours are wrong, because we don't have any copies left and would love to offer it to you . FYI: we are continuing to try and get the book, and if/when that happens - we will post about it on the blog.
