New Courses and Location for the Toronto Cartoonists Workshop!‏

The Toronto Cartoonists Workshop has found a new permanent location!!!

Starting the Fall of 2010 they will be located at 486 College St. (Bathurst and College). To kick off the occasion they are happy to present an all star line up of instructors and offerings for the September/October semester.

BOOKS WE HAVE IN THE STORE

Many of you probably already noticed that we re-organized the layout of the blog.

On the right side of this blog there are a few images of different books. If you 'click' on them, you will be able to see a long list of books that we have in the store for sale.

The list of books you will see is organized by category (sketchbooks, animation books, illustration books, graphic novels with animation flavour, anime art books, concept art books and art instruction books.)

It's our goal to update and increase the number of books shown on these lists each week until you can see a much fuller catalog of our ART BOOKS.

It's also our goal to add pricing information to these, but that may not happen right away.

If you are interested in any books you see, you can email us and we can help with pricing, shipping information.

Silent Hill: Past Life

A new comic book mini series based on the universe of the Silent Hill games will be releasing soon. Unlike past Silent Hill comics, this one will have more relevance to the games as its characters will also have significance in the next upcoming game currently being developed by a new team and given the working title of 'Silent Hill 8.' The comic is written by Tom Waltz who is no stranger to Silent Hill and comic book writing as he had also previously written for a previous Silent Hill comic called 'Silent Hill: Sinner's Reward' and he's also a co-writer for the next upcoming Silent Hill game.



The story for 'Past Life' goes back in time to the 1800s and follows a new character, an outlaw named Jebediah Foster and a widow named Esther. The story will be covered in 4 issues with the first releasing in October. You can learn more from reading interviews with Tom Waltz here and here.

Warner Bros. is planning to revive the Looney Tunes shorts! A new one 'Coyote Falls' will be heading to theatres to play in front of the film 'Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore'! And it'll be in 3-D (In both senses of the word)! Here's a short clip and that's all folks!
