HOW TO TALK TO GIRLS. REALLY.
Labyrinth favourite Kei (Imaginsm Studios) Acedera is the artist behind the new book : How to talk to Girls. The first book in a trilogy by 9 year old Alec Greven. Learn real tips while laughing out loud at tips and tricks you can use. Future books will teach you how to talk to your parents and to your friends.
The art, by Kei , is featured on every page. The drawings are simple but very appealing . Kei is a rising star, and these black and white drawings are only a small step on her way up.
Kei Acedera's drawings in the book, remind me of the Peanuts comic strip.
The only dissapointment for a fan like me, is that her name is nowhere to be found on the cover. Neither are her drawings, but once you open the book - you can't miss them. Kei is a Toronto illustrator and animator whose work can be found in such books at Faerie Sketches, Dragon Sketches and many other books from Imaginism Studios.

D'Artiste Matt Painting 2, Exotique 4 and Art of Bolt
In Stock now! Just arrived today - 3 more great reasons to stop by!
Matt Painting 2 and Exotique 4 feature some of the best digital art in the world. Whether you work in the field, or aspire to, these are great books to both inspire and educate. Previous volumes also in stock.
The Art of Bolt is a book you may be asking yourself about - is it worth it? the short answer is yes.
It's no kung fu panda, but it's really jam packed with great production art including some terrific character designs that seem to channel the design sense of Chuck Jones. The obvious omition of Chris Sander's work is possibly the only dissapointment. I realize, the movie was changed -but it would be nice if the art of book, could show the early path the movie was on as part of its development process. The movie is out this Friday - see it in 3D if you get the chance.
Below is the trailer to Bolt, for anyone who hasn't yet seen it. The Gerbil or woodchuck, or whatever it is -is completely awesome.
