I am so excited - the super talented Alvaro Cervantes is in the process of sculpting our dragon mascot. Alvaro is a teacher at Sheridan College. He's also a hugely talented and successful maquette artist -having worked on toys and other 3d products for years. you can check out the progress on the sculpt on his blog. the above image is still in progress.

The Labyrinth is very excited to announce our first art show on June 30th 2007 will feature the amazingly talented Bobby Chiu and Kei Acedera. This hard working duo has been consistently amazing customers at our store with their cool and funny giclee prints. Now you will be able to meet them in person. The art show will feature sketches from their new book : Subway Sketches. If all works out, the new book will also be available to purchase.

CANARI 2 BY CARLOS MEGLIA IS HERE

For anyone who isn't familiar with Carlos Meglia - He's the creator of Cyber Six. He's also done several awesome comics including Superman Infinite City, Superman/Tarzan, Star Wars Underworld and the totally amazing Canari from France. Volume 2 just arrived, along with Hero Academy 2 and the new Monster Allergy. Monster Allergy was designed by the creator of Skydoll. Hero Academy is a knock-off of the Gorillaz with super-heroes. If you can forgive that, the art is great.

SUBWAY SKETCHES ART SHOW

Hi All,

Brief announcement to let everyone know - our first art show will commence June 30th. Bob Chiu and Imaginism Studios will be launching their new sketchbook : Subway Sketches along with a great show of original art. The art will be up for an entire month, but we will be having the launch on June 30th. Everyone is invited to stop by, meet the artists, get a book signed and look at some fantastic art.
