THE ART SHOW COUNTDOWN

Finally got the sketches from Bob and Kei. They're a lot of fun. Can't wait for people to see them. Picked up the frames last night. Will be spending tonight framing and matting.

If you haven't been at the store since Wednesday - we put up the chains on which the art will hang.

Personally, I am very happy with the arrangement. We eliminated the tables along those walls (the ones with all the toys). The space is now wider,more inviting and calmer. If you happen to be one of those folks who loves toys, please talk to us. we will continue to get in toys for convention purposes and would be more than happy to try and serve your needs at the store.

Art Show opening: 7-10pm on Saturday June 30th.

Please Note:
The store will be closed on Monday July 2nd -for Canada Day. We will however be open on Sunday July 1st 12-7pm for anyone who would like to stop by.

The Art Show is this Saturday June 30th at 7pm-10pm. The art however, will be up for the month of July -so folks coming in on Sunday and after, will be able to check out the original art featured in the new book: Subway Sketches.

BOOK LAUNCH THIS SATURDAY

Hi folks,

Final reminder. Bob Chiu and Kei Acedera will be at the store to launch their new book Subway Sketches -and show off their work in the new gallery space in the store.

Kei and Bob are local artists that are quickly getting attention across the country and across the world. Their work can be found in Expose and Exotique from Ballistic Publishing, but their best work can be found in a series of self published sketchbooks.

The Art show this weekend will also be the premier of a new giclee print that you won't want to miss. the abominable snow man.

I am so excited - the super talented Alvaro Cervantes is in the process of sculpting our dragon mascot. Alvaro is a teacher at Sheridan College. CANARI 2 BY CARLOS MEGLIA IS HERE

For anyone who isn't familiar with Carlos Meglia - He's the creator of Cyber Six. He's also done several awesome comics including Superman Infinite City, Superman/Tarzan, Star Wars Underworld and the totally amazing Canari from France. Volume 2 just arrived, along with Hero Academy 2 and the new Monster Allergy. Monster Allergy was designed by the creator of Skydoll. Hero Academy is a knock-off of the Gorillaz with super-heroes. If you can forgive that, the art is great.

SUBWAY SKETCHES ART SHOW

Hi All,

Brief announcement to let everyone know - our first art show will commence June 30th. Bob Chiu and Imaginism Studios will be launching their new sketchbook : Subway Sketches along with a great show of original art. The art will be up for an entire month, but we will be having the launch on June 30th. Everyone is invited to stop by, meet the artists, get a book signed and look at some fantastic art.
